Mag Lev

Shanghai has a high speed train you see called the Mag Lev. Which I believe stands for Magnetic Leivtation. This is the first train of its kind in the world. Designed in Germany and made with German parts (thankfully!) this train rocks and nearly flies it goes so fast!

The train has a maximum speed in normal operation of 431 km/h (268 mph)! While it is cruising along the outside just flashes by in an instant! If you ever get to Shanghai this is a great 7 minute tourist excursion! All in all the pictures here and the speed to go with it are not what you think of when you think of transportation in China. I think bicycles, slow rickety trains, buses, etc...
